United States of America (1946 - 1997) From 1946 to 1973, the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Conception ran a closed retreat house in Marlborough, Massachusetts. From 1972 to 1991, a few M.I.C. worked for the Chinese Mission of San Francisco, California, especially at St. Mary's School. From 1974 to 1976, some M.I.C. cooperated in the pastoral and social work in a Parish of Elizabeth, New Jersey, where the population was 52% Hispanic. From 1975 to 1981, the M.I.C. had a novitiate in San Bruno, Cal. Then from 1984 to 1997, our missionaries landed in McNeal, Arizona at the service of a Mexican-American population. |
